TOADHALL MONTESSORI NURSERIES, MEITHRIN AND OUT OF SCHOOL ACADEMY

We implement the following to ensure the safety and security of everyone at Toadhall Montessori.

• • Health and Safety Daily Checklist is carried out for all indoor and outdoor areas of the buildings to ensure everything is safe and secure for everyone who uses the premises.
  • A Staff Check-in Log is completed and discussed with all staff, before the doors are opened, for example, the numbers of children due in for the day is discussed, how staff will be deployed for the day, along with any specific requirements needed for each child, visitors due etc.
  • At the start of the day all children are signed in on the register and signed out at the end of the day. Senior staff check all children have been signed in and out and are accounted for throughout the day and when out of the building on excursions locally and further afield.
  • All external doors are locked throughout the day.
  • All external gates are locked throughout the day.
  • No person, is allowed on the premises whom we do not know.
  • Children will only be handed over to a named person/someone we know.
  • A password system is used for emergency collection of a child we have not met before.
  • At the end of the day all areas are checked. Staff have their Check Out and the log is completed.
  • All children are accounted for, ie have been collected and all areas are checked and clear, ready for locking up for the day.
