Our mission is to ensure all staff at Toadhall Montessori Nurseries, Meithrin and Out of School Academy; through working in close partnership and participation with parents and others are committed to.
“Care for and nurture the seeds of growth and development so that every child will blossom joyously into the world – a real ‘Call to Adventure’, for every child, to enable them to be the best they can be.”

The main aims and purposes of Toadhall Montessori Nurseries,Meithrin and Out of School Academy
We have the four purposes, which are the starting point and aspiration for all our settings and the curriculum design that we develop.
Ultimately, the aim at Toadhall Montessori Nurseries, Meithrin and Out of School Academy is to develop every child’s learning through our Montessori and Foundation for Learning, curricular, to support our children to become:
- ambitious, capable learners, ready to learn throughout their lives
- enterprising, creative contributors, ready to play a full part in life and work
- ethical, informed citizens of Wales and the world
- healthy, confident individuals, ready to lead fulfilling lives as valued members of society
We also aim :-
- To provide a safe, warm, caring, stimulating, homely and nurturing environment, within which all children and parents can feel totally relaxed and confident, thus enabling every child to ‘be the best they can be’.
- To ensure, equality of opportunity, diversity and inclusion, regardless of age, sex, culture, gender, religion, ability, disability and background.
- To provide learning experiences, within the Montessori Approach, that will encourage and enable every child to develop socially, emotionally, physically, intellectually, thus giving them a true sense of belonging and understanding of who they are as an individual.
- To encourage freedom of expression, within limits, and to develop self-motivation and self-reliance from a very young age, within the framework of a happy, secure, harmonious and well-prepared and planned, Montessori environment.
- To prepare every child for the next stages of their ‘learning journey’, by providing Montessori educational experiences and activities aimed at developing each child holistically, to allow them to ‘be the best they can be’
- To prepare every child for a happy and reassuring transition from the known environment of Toadhall Montessori, into the world of school.
- To always ensure and be aware, that the Montessori education of the child does not only prepare him/her for school, but for LIFE!
All the above is achieved by ensuring a strong partnership and participation between parents and staff at Toadhall Montessori. Parents are regarded as the prime educators of their child and thus their wishes are always respected. At Toadhall Montessori Nurseries, Meithrin and Out of School Academy, we aim to provide a homely, “family” environment, to nurture the needs of every child and their parents.
The vision, values and aims, of Toadhall Montessori Nurseries, Meithrin and Out of School Academy, are firmly established within the Montessori Approach to care and education.
We fully embrace the United Nations Convention, Rights of the Child, often referred to as the UNCRC and the important role of putting the child firmly at the centre of all we do and giving every child a voice, through true ‘participation’. This is in relation to all aspects of their ‘journey’ at Toadhall Montessori Nurseries, Meithrin and Out of School Academy.
