All about Toadhall Montessori Meithrin (Welsh Nursery)
Our vision is to ensure that through the medium of Welsh care and Montessori education every child has a ‘flying start ,enabling them to be the best they can be’
Our Meinthrin (Welsh Nursery) is a new addition to the Toadhall Montessori Nurseries group. It is a small, homely Montessori nursery which caters for 16 children from 2 years to 4/5 years. It is based within our beautiful Out of School Academy building.
Toadhall Montessori Meithrinfa is open Monday to Friday for Term Time only (39 weeks per year) from 8am until 12.30pm. An additional hour is available if you require your child to have lunch and then be taken to their Welsh Meithrin for the afternoon foundation Learning session. Parents will collect their child from their Welsh medium nursery.Toadhall Montessori Meithrin is closed for all bank holidays.
We offer Wrap Around Care to our local Welsh schools, including Glan Ceubal and Melin Gruffydd. (See further information on our website for our Wrap Around Care Service)
We also provide the Flying Start programme in Wales which offers funded places for eligible 2-year-old children. Places are limited, so early booking is highly recommended.

Children are taught through the medium of Welsh by our qualified and fully fluent Welsh speaking staff.
We use the highly acclaimed Montessori approach and the Curriculum for Non-Maintained Childcare setting in Wales, using the 5 Developmental Pathways.
We provide all the amazing activities and experiences as explained in the information given in the section above ‘About Toadhall Montessori Nursery, as well as the specific pedagogies described below.
The children can have a healthy breakfast if they arrive by 8-30am and a healthy snack at 11am. Children attending for the Flying Start session only from 9am to 11-30am, will have a healthy snack. Mealtimes are a wonderful social occasion, where children are guided by the staff to understand the importance of healthy eating together, as well as good table manners and high quality social interaction.
We are extremely proud of the fact that Toadhall Meithrin, is the very first Welsh Montessori childcare setting in Wales!!!
